Vizslas are predisposed to both sebaceous adenitis, a progressive immune-mediated skin condition, and idiopathic inflammatory polymyopathy, a muscle condition causing weakness and reduced activity tolerance. Dogs managing either condition long-term may have fluctuating appetite and energy needs, making weight tracking a reliable way to monitor whether their condition is stable or shifting.
