Old English Sheepdog Ideal weight range
27–45 kg
Old English Sheepdogs have a breed-specific mutation associated with primary ciliary dyskinesia, a condition affecting the clearance mechanisms of the respiratory tract, as well as a predisposition to dilated cardiomyopathy. Both conditions can reduce exercise capacity, and dogs with limited activity tolerance benefit from careful food intake tracking to prevent the weight gain that often follows.
Your dog is more than a breed average.
A generic range is just a starting point. FitFido uses your dog's unique breed characteristics, age, body type, and activity level to calculate their target weight and construct a custom plan that adjusts as you progress.
Please note that a dog's ideal weight depends on many individual factors, including height, bone structure, and overall body condition.
