1. Information We Collect

We collect data to provide and improve our dog health tracking services:

  • Authentication Data: We receive your name and email address via Sign in with Apple or Google. If you use "Hide My Email," we receive a unique, anonymous relay address.
  • Pet Health & Nutrition Data: To provide core functionality, we collect information you provide about your dog(s), including:
    • Dog Profiles: Name, breed, age, and activity level.
    • Body Composition: Weight entries and Body Condition Scores (BCS 1–9).
    • Nutrition Logs: Food intake, treats, and custom food catalog entries.
  • Camera & Images: When using FitFido AI™, we process images of food labels to extract nutritional data. These images are used solely for analysis and are not stored or sold for advertising.
  • Service Data: Your data is securely managed and synced via Supabase.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used strictly for:

  • Health Tracking & Analytics: Generating weight history charts and health trends.
  • Scientific Calculations: Using dog profile data to calculate Resting Energy Requirements (RER) and Daily Energy Requirements (DER).
  • Personalized Recommendations: Providing daily calorie budgets and feeding suggestions based on veterinary guidelines.
  • Account Management: Securing your profile and syncing data across devices.

3. Medical Disclaimer

FitFido is intended for informational and tracking purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical condition. The calorie calculations and health trends provided are estimates based on general veterinary guidelines. Always consult with a licensed veterinarian for professional medical advice or before making significant changes to your pet's diet or exercise routine.

4. Google Limited Use Disclosure

FitFido's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Data Sharing & Security

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We only share information with third-party service providers (like Supabase) necessary to operate the app or when required by law.

6. Data Deletion & Retention

We retain your data only as long as your account is active.

To delete your account: You can trigger an account deletion directly within the App Settings or by contacting us with the subject "Data Deletion Request."

Upon request, all personal data associated with your account will be permanently deleted from our production databases within 30 days.
