Springer Spaniel Ideal Weight Range
40–55 lbs
Springer Spaniels are predisposed to phosphofructokinase deficiency, an inherited red blood cell condition that can cause exercise-induced haemolytic episodes and chronic low-level fatigue, and to a breed-specific chronic hepatitis. Both conditions can affect appetite and body weight over time. Because liver and gut inflammation affect how nutrients are absorbed and metabolised, weight becomes a particularly informative health indicator for this breed.
Your dog is more than a breed average.
A generic range is just a starting point. FitFido uses your dog's unique breed characteristics, age, body type, and activity level to calculate their target weight and construct a custom plan that adjusts as you progress.
Please note that a dog's ideal weight depends on many individual factors, including height, bone structure, and overall body condition.
